Development of rural tourism is also as part of efforts to realize the creative tour packages which can attractive tourists to still visit Bali in situation of global economic crisis.
Head of State Development and Cultural Resources and Tourism, I Gusti Putu Laksaguna, stated that one challenge to become a problem in the development of village tourism is the commitment of the villagers, considering the development of village tourism requires a long time .
"Commitment first. Commitment from the village, I want them to be developed into tourist village, also because not all have the potential, something that should be the development of tourism must be substance that is on our uniqueness and peculiarity" said I Gusti Putu Laksaguna.
Laksaguna said to develop tourism village in the early phase of the Ministry of Culture and Pariiwisata will educate about 10 thousand people to be prepared as cadres, cadres for the development of village tourism.
Laksaguna added in 2009 as the future development of the initial, will be selected 5 provinces for the potential development of village tourism.
