Kuta, Wildlife Observer Organization analysis WWF Indonesia said on average, millions of turtle eggs traded in Indonesia every month. The average turtle eggs are traded for consumption.

The proof for the Kalimantan region in one month alone there are about 300,000 turtle eggs are traded freely at a price of IDR 5000 – IDR 7000 each. The condition is more disappointing than 100 turtle nests were identified in a single day, only two nests that were rescued to hatching.

Wildlife observer Institute Pro-Fauna Indonesia estimates in the next 5-10 years in the Indonesian sea turtle populations will be extinct. This prediction is based on the still rampant arrest and turtle trade in Indonesia. Especially, catching large and old sea turtles. Given the turtle to the age of 30 years or older is a turtle parent and ready to reproduce.
